MFM specializes in comprehensive facilities management solutions for commercial and residential properties, operating through four main areas: FM consultancy, property management, hard services, and soft services. Role Overview
The Building Management System (BMS) Operator position is a full-time role requiring on-site presence in Abu Dhabi. The primary duties involve overseeing, controlling, and enhancing the performance of building management systems that regulate HVAC, lighting, and other essential services. The operator responds to alarms, conducts system monitoring, and works alongside maintenance teams to troubleshoot and rectify issues swiftly.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage building management systems to ensure optimal operation of HVAC, lighting, and other critical systems.
- React promptly to alarms and system alerts, troubleshooting issues in coordination with maintenance personnel.
- Carry out routine system inspections and assist in preventive maintenance to uphold safety and energy efficiency.
- Record event logs and compile basic operational reports.
- Collaborate closely with facility management and technical teams to maintain compliance with organizational standards and regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of Building Management Systems and facility management practices, capable of operating and optimizing system performance.
- Experience in building maintenance and coordination with technical teams for both corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Technical education in mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering; vocational training or a relevant degree is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and ability to work shifts or rotating schedules as required.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with diverse multidisciplinary teams.
- Prior experience in managing large commercial or mixed-use facilities, preferably in the GCC region, is advantageous.
