About the Role
Vaishno Medisales (P) Ltd. is seeking a Biomedical Engineer with at least two years of professional experience. This role demands a candidate who can install, maintain, and optimize biomedical equipment while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Install new biomedical equipment by setting up, calibrating, testing, and adjusting machinery to ensure optimal function.
- Perform routine maintenance, system tests, troubleshoot issues, and repair biomedical devices to sustain reliable operations.
- Manage special equipment servicing, evaluate service contracts, and maintain accurate inventory records of biomedical devices and supplies.
- Ensure workplace health and safety by conducting safety assessments, adhering to relevant procedures, training healthcare staff, and complying with safety standards and codes.
- Generate detailed biomedical reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing operational data and equipment trends.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies by monitoring stock levels, forecasting needs, placing orders ahead of time, and verifying receipts.
- Enhance equipment performance by analyzing machine-patient interactions, consulting with users, developing necessary modifications, and liaising with equipment manufacturers.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering is required.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a related biomedical engineering role.
- Experience with ophthalmology-related equipment is advantageous.
- Possession of a two-wheeler vehicle and a valid driving license is necessary for travel.
- Strong presentation abilities and effective interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and willing to travel extensively within Nepal for work.
- Proactive, self-driven, positive attitude, polite, and eager to learn new skills.
- Capable of managing work pressure and adapting to changing situations.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
