At Clarity Clinic, we are seeking a Customer Service Representative to work in our Billing and Reimbursement department. Location: Remote (Note: Candidates must be based in the state of Illinois) In this role, you will: Ensure that patients are treated with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalismMaintain incoming patient calls and responding to voicemails promptly, courteously, and professionally while de-escalating situations involving dissatisfied customers by offering assistance and supportAssists billing staff with basic office duties (i.e., pulling notes, EOBs, payment receipts etc..) as neededManage the patient billing emails and portal messages with prompt resolution in a courteous and professional manner Support as Liaison between billing and operations, offering support as it relates to billing and patient balance inquiriesResponsible for Self-Pay AR and management of accounts with credit cards on fileCollects patient payments and assists in posting payments as it relates to our collection processesResponsible for reviewing, identifying, and sending qualified accounts to collectionsIdentify patient and insurance credits/refundsCreate and manage patient payment plansManage and run weekly statement filesResponsible for return mailHandle mailing secondary claims to insurance companies, attaching copies of primary EOBHandle mailing collection letters to both insurance and patient as instructed by collection staffWork various tasks assigned as neededMaintain the strictest confidentiality according to the guidelines of company policiesStay abreast of and comply with all state and federal laws including HIPAA, ADA, OSHA, and FLSAAttend meetings as requiredParticipate in development and training activities as required by managementAdapt to change in positive and professional mannerMinimum Requirements: BS/BA degree preferred or two years of medical billing and customer service experience is preferredHeavy focus on high volume phone calls and emailsBilingual is a plusWe celebrate diversity when it comes to all backgrounds and identities, and we encourage applications from minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, candidates of all ages, and nontraditional backgrounds.
