Associate Technician

Overview

Element Materials Technology is seeking an Associate Technician to join their expanding operations team in one of their laboratories. This role involves undertaking a range of routine and specialized testing tasks under direct supervision, ensuring timely and precise test outcomes. The position requires adherence to company policies, safety standards, and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain instrumentation and monitoring devices at project sites.
• Perform calibration, inspection, and troubleshooting of sensors and instruments.
• Accurately collect and document monitoring data as per project needs.
• Support engineers and surveyors with instrumentation and monitoring activities.
• Prepare daily maintenance reports and records.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and project protocols.
• Collaborate with on-site teams and assist urgent monitoring when necessary.

Skills and Qualifications

• Basic understanding of instrumentation and monitoring systems.
• Capability to install and test sensors and monitoring equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve simple technical issues on-site.
• Competence in interpreting basic drawings and instructions.
• Fundamental computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Solid knowledge of construction site safety practices.
• Willingness and ability to work outdoors, in tunnels, or confined spaces.
• Flexibility to perform overtime or night shifts as required.
• Prior experience in construction or monitoring work is advantageous.
