Role Overview
The Associate Director of Operations will collaborate closely with the Associate Medical Director and Associate Director of Nursing and Quality to ensure the delivery of safe, effective community mental health services. Working as a trio, they coordinate with leads in psychological and allied health professions to oversee community care spanning Wigan, Bolton, Salford, Manchester, Trafford, and Later Life community services, including neighbourhoods and physical health hubs.
Responsibilities
- Lead operational management and performance of a designated service portfolio ensuring financial health and meeting national/local targets.
- Support the Trust's strategic vision by contributing to continuous improvement and service development across Greater Manchester.
- Drive community mental health transformation by implementing redesigns focused on accessible, integrated, trauma-informed, and person-centred care.
- Develop business cases and identify opportunities for expanding or creating new services aligned with Trust priorities.
- Lead or participate in service reviews and major projects using specialist expertise and analytical skills.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders whilst ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Represent the Trust at external forums and champions the involvement of service users, carers, and staff in service development.
- Maintain robust on-call and escalation protocols to support service continuity.
