Associate Business Analyst

Overview

Join our ICE Data Services Desktop Solutions team as an Associate Business Analyst, collaborating closely with the New York-based Product Management group. This role involves shaping the strategy, planning, and implementation of our desktop applications that serve a global clientele in the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business and product strategies by partnering with stakeholders to set goals and product vision.
• Identify and recommend enhancements and process improvements that optimize product offerings.
• Perform comprehensive market and competitor research to guide product development.
• Collect, evaluate, and document detailed business and functional requirements, transforming needs into user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct interviews and workshops with stakeholders to clarify and refine requirements.
• Bridge communication between business teams, product managers, and development units ensuring alignment.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers focused on delivering user-centric solutions.
• Promote effective communication across technical and non-technical personnel.
• Analyze current business processes to propose optimizations and support Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Assist with backlog prioritization and sprint planning alongside product owners.
• Define KPIs and perform data analysis to support decision-making and feature prioritization using business intelligence tools.
• Support User Acceptance Testing by defining test cases and validating compliance with requirements, working closely with QA teams.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, support change management initiatives, and facilitate user adoption efforts including training and documentation provision.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification.
• Over three years of experience with financial markets knowledge; experience in futures and energy markets is advantageous.
• Prior experience as a Business Analyst, ideally with CRM or entitlement system exposure.
• Skilled in requirements gathering and documentation, capable of creating mockups or wireframes.
• Excellent communication skills paired with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects effectively.
• Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail coupled with critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
• Comfortable collaborating with technical teams as well as business and sales units.
• Proactive with strong initiative and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Jira and Figma or similar wireframing tools.
• Enthusiastic about contributing to both data/content and functional project initiatives.

Salary and Benefits

The anticipated base salary range for the New York location is $65,000 to $85,000 USD, exclusive of incentive compensation.
