Role Overview
The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in running the Sheffield store, focusing on all retail operations and ensuring the team delivers excellent customer service aligned with POP MART standards. This position demands strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, coupled with enthusiasm for collectible art pieces.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to oversee daily store operations.
- Deliver superior customer service and handle any customer queries or complaints effectively.
- Lead and train the sales team to comply with company policies and maintain performance standards.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet store targets alongside the Store Manager.
- Monitor inventory levels closely, coordinating with merchandising and management for stock replenishment.
- Minimize stock discrepancies and prevent theft through vigilant inventory control.
- Manage visual merchandising, ensuring the store remains neat, attractive, and clean at all times.
- Oversee the daily opening and closing cashier procedures.
- Conduct regular team meetings to align on goals and update the staff.
- Participate in recruitment, evaluate team members’ performances, and assist in onboarding new hires.
- Handle administrative duties including staff scheduling and sales reporting.
- Be willing to work flexible hours, covering nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ full-time experience in store management.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong customer service orientation to ensure a memorable shopping experience.
- Proven track record in devising and implementing successful sales plans.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with prior team supervision experience.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Competent in administrative tasks such as scheduling and sales tracking.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Team player with skills in motivating and inspiring others.
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
- Experience within the designer collectible pieces industry.
- Knowledge of visual merchandising principles.
- Familiarity with retail management systems and POS software.
