About the role and team

Walt Disney World is hiring an Assistant Finance Analyst for an initial 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will support the finance function with timely and accurate financial services that help drive growth across the Walt Disney Travel Company International portfolio of Disney products. You will report to the Senior Finance Manager and contribute to the day-to-day running of finance operations.

This position is based in the London Hammersmith office and follows a hybrid pattern of 4 days per week onsite, with either Monday or Friday worked from home.

Values

You will be part of a team built around Disney’s core values: Integrity, Inclusion, Creativity, Collaboration, and Community. These values guide both day-to-day work and how colleagues support one another.

Key responsibilities

  • Keep the accounts payable process running smoothly by checking supplier invoice accuracy, monitoring vendor purchase order limits, and creating new purchase orders when needed.
  • Support P-Card reconciliation work.
  • Help with accurate cost recognition and month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journals and reconciliations, focusing on either DCL and WDW or DLP and transport providers.
  • Assist in preparing balance sheet reconciliations for deferred and prepayment accounts.
  • Monitor finance tracking systems and arrange monthly review meetings with budget holders.
  • Review weekly trade payments through clearing houses and work with the trade team to resolve discrepancies.
  • Reconcile and account for ticket standalone bookings for WDW.
  • Carry out competitor analysis and share findings with management.
  • Prepare agent sales and incentive reports when required.
  • Perform weekly bank reconciliations across the portfolio.
  • Act as a casual buyer for WDTCI and handle SAP/Coupa-related queries, including purchase order tracking and supplier issue resolution.
  • Complete ad hoc financial analysis as needed by the team.

Training and professional development

  • Act with integrity, support change, and represent The Walt Disney Company positively.
  • Work as an inclusive team member by respecting different perspectives, sharing knowledge, and contributing to team goals.
  • Take ownership of your development through career conversations and learning resources such as D Learn, the OTS online hub, instructor-led courses, and on-the-job training.
  • Look for ways to improve team performance and processes, including through relevant technology tools.
  • Build relationships with other TWDC teams to broaden your understanding of the business.
  • Support an inclusive workplace and continue learning about diversity and inclusion best practices.

Required qualifications and skills

  • A degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • SAP experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Experience in finance within the travel industry would be an advantage.
  • Strong accuracy and close attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently, while knowing when to ask for support.
  • Ongoing interest in improving process efficiency.
  • Strong written and spoken English for business use.

Perks

  • 25 days of annual leave.
  • Private medical insurance and dental cover.
  • Free park entry for you, your family, and friends.
  • Discounts on selected Disney products, resort food and beverage, and ticketing.
  • Enhanced parental and guardian leave.
  • Access to employee resource groups including WOMEN @ Disney, Disney Mosaic, Disney PRIDE, ENABLED, and TRUST.
