Role overview

As an Area Sales Operations Specialist, you will help strengthen the regional sales organization by improving reporting, forecasting, data accuracy, incentive plan administration, and day-to-day operational execution. The role supports sales excellence, business discipline, and consistent processes so that teams can plan effectively, govern incentives properly, and make better decisions based on reliable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Run the end-to-end process for sales incentive plans, including administration, communication, tracking, and adherence to governance standards.
• Keep CRM records accurate and up to date, covering accounts, customers, pricing, and opportunities.
• Work with sales leaders on territory structure, account ownership, quota monitoring, and sales coverage planning.
• Partner with division finance on sample budget allocation and maintain the MySample dashboard.
• Oversee the Command Center, including access control, data quality, system governance, issue handling, user assistance, and ongoing improvements.
• Coordinate area-wide sales operations activities, tools, and standard working methods.
• Spot opportunities to simplify or improve processes and support the rollout of more efficient, standardized practices.
• Help onboard sales teams and drive adoption of systems, reporting solutions, and operating procedures.
• Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and other business teams to ensure aligned execution.
• Track important sales metrics and follow up on performance gaps, data problems, and operational actions in a timely way.
• Support planning cycles, business reviews, and other commercial operating routines as needed.
• Assist with forecasting, pipeline review, opportunity tracking, and identification of risks and growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Analytics, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in sales operations, analytics, commercial support, or a similar function.
• Hands-on experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
• Strong analytical ability, organization skills, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior exposure to process improvement or project coordination work.
• Ability to manage several priorities at once and work effectively across functions.
• Preferred background in sales or sales incentive planning.
• Additional advantage if you have worked with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Additional advantage if you have experience with Vistex or Varicent.
• Experience supporting field sales teams in a regional setting is beneficial.

Work location and model

The role is based in Woodlands, Singapore. It follows an on-site model, with at least 4 days per week required at a 3M office.

Eligible office locations include AMK, Singapore; Petaling Jaya, Malaysia; Bangkok, Thailand; Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam; Seoul, Korea; Tokyo, Japan; North Ryde, Australia; Taipei, Taiwan; Jakarta, Indonesia; Bonifacio, Philippines; and North Shore, New Zealand.
