Job description
Overview
This role is part of an elite, globally distributed team focused on developing cutting-edge high-speed analog and mixed-signal IPs such as HBM and UCIe utilizing advanced CMOS technologies including 2nm, 3nm, and A14 nodes. These IPs serve critical applications in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, High Performance Computing, and Hyperscale Data Center markets. The role demands a commitment to innovation, team success, and delivering high-quality, first-time-right solutions that satisfy customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, verify, and optimize high-speed mixed-signal circuits including clock distribution networks, RX and TX circuits for integration in state-of-the-art ICs.
- Create circuit schematics, conduct detailed layout reviews, and execute comprehensive simulations and verifications.
- Refine circuitry in high-speed paths aiming for minimal jitter and power efficiency.
- Lead design reviews, prepare presentation materials, and document technical work comprehensively.
- Support IP integration into System-on-Chips (SoCs).
- Guide validation engineers or participate directly in silicon bring-up, debugging, and characterization phases.
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Proven expertise in high-speed custom analog and digital circuit design, particularly around SerDes, HBM, UCIe, and PLL circuit domains.
- Extensive proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso suite, including schematic capture, layout, and Spectre simulation.
- Experience designing in advanced FinFET CMOS technology processes is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills combining deep engineering fundamentals with innovative circuit design approaches.
- Capability to communicate design concepts clearly to peers and non-experts.
- Abilities in MATLAB, AMI modeling, or 3D modeling related to high-speed designs are beneficial.
- In-depth understanding of high-speed interface standards and capability to analyze and explain their specifications.
