About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and research-oriented Algorithm Engineer passionate about developing core mathematical and biomechanical algorithms that power cutting-edge surgical navigation systems. This position is uniquely positioned at the crossroads of biomechanics, computational geometry, medical robotics, surgical navigation, and real-time mathematical modeling.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize algorithms underpinning next-generation surgical navigation tools, integrating principles from biomechanics and computational geometry to enhance surgical precision.
Required Expertise and Skills
- Strong foundation in Linear Algebra and three-dimensional geometry concepts.
- Proficiency in coordinate transformations and rotation systems.
- Practical experience with RANSAC and robust estimation techniques.
- Familiarity with biomechanics and principles guiding orthopedic alignment.
- Programming skills in Java, Python, C++, and MATLAB.
- Knowledge and experience in medical device or robotics algorithm development.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with a master's or doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer-Assisted Orthopedic Surgery (CAOS), or related fields are highly preferred.
Additional Advantage
- Experience working with surgical navigation systems and robotic surgery platforms.
- Hands-on familiarity with OpenCV, ArUco tracking technology.
- Expertise in orthopedic biomechanics.
- Background in developing software compliant with medical device standards such as IEC 62304.
