Overview
NATS, the leading air navigation service provider in the UK, manages more than 2.4 million flights annually. They operate air traffic control services from multiple centres and airports within the UK and provide commercial aviation solutions internationally. Role Purpose
The role involves joining the existing Air Traffic Control (ATC) team at St Athan to deliver safe and effective aerodrome control services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, orderly, and efficient air traffic control at St Athan aerodrome, including monitoring and managing aircraft both on the ground and in the surrounding airspace.
- Work shifts as required to maintain continuous air traffic control operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must possess a valid UK aerodrome controller (ADI) rating and maintain validation at St Athan during employment.
- Hold a current Class 3 UK Medical Certificate.
- Exhibit strong teamwork skills, lateral thinking abilities, and capacity to perform calmly under pressure.
- Willingness to complete a criminal background check and provide a detailed work history for the past five years.
- Candidates currently undergoing or intending to undertake self-funded ADI training are encouraged to apply.
Additional Information
Employees are entitled to a competitive salary ranging from £38,511 to £54,208 per year, along with a Defined Contribution pension plan and generous annual leave including bank holidays.
