Job Overview
Employed by Dubai Air Navigation Services (dans), the Air Traffic Controller - Approach provides continuous aerodrome control, approach control, flight information, and alerting services. The role ensures the safe, structured, and efficient movement of aircraft within dans' designated operational zones, following a 24/7 shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Deliver round-the-clock operational aerodrome and approach control services, alongside flight information and alerting functions as needed.
- Maintain safety and orderly traffic flow for all aircraft operating under dans’ jurisdiction.
Application Requirements
- Applicants must submit copies of their ATC license including current ratings, ratings documentation, medical certificate for air traffic controllers, ICAO English proficiency evidence, and a license verification letter.
Qualifications
- Completion of relevant ICAO-approved courses.
- Demonstrated English proficiency at ICAO Level 4.
- Possession of a valid air traffic control license and relevant medical certification.
- Experience operating in high-density, complex environments, handling advanced procedures such as RECAT, RRSM, APO, and A-SMGCS.
- Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft communication, navigation, surveillance capabilities, and performance.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarization with commercial software and smart applications.
- For external candidates, a minimum of three continuous years performing operational duties at a significant international air traffic control facility, coupled with successful completion of an APC examination.
