Overview
Join the Technical Service team at Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg for a six-month internship starting in September or October 2026. This full-time, part-time onsite role involves maximizing the efficiency and uptime of utility and infrastructure systems vital to the factory's operations through data-driven maintenance strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate on planning and tracking analytics projects within Technical Service and Intralogistics areas.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, status reports, presentations, and relevant documentation for diverse stakeholders.
- Create and administer SQL queries to perform thorough data analyses supporting decision-making activities.
- Ensure timely delivery and quality of reports, controlling for accuracy and consistency.
- Manage Excel datasets related to spare parts, preventive maintenance, usage forecasts, and asset management.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as maintenance order statuses, preventive maintenance adherence, missed work orders, and spare parts consumption.
- Conduct asset evaluations, checklist compliance monitoring, and assist with inventory management.
- Address ad-hoc data requests from planners and cross-functional teams promptly.
- Convert business requirements into automated pipelines and internal analytical tools using Python, SQL, and version control systems like Git.
- Assist in developing AI solutions, including retrieval-augmented generation agents, automated workflows, and reusable functions tailored for maintenance teams.
- Identify and promote automation and AI adoption opportunities by creating documentation and sharing knowledge.
- Participate actively in meetings, capture critical action points, and facilitate coordination across departments.
- Continuously enhance analytics processes and reporting formats to improve clarity and efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Technology & Management, Operations, or related disciplines.
- Experienced in SQL for data extraction, complex joins, aggregations, and reporting purposes.
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint with capabilities in pivot tables, structured data exports, and impactful presentations.
- Demonstrates strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills with a focus on business applications.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal); knowledge of German is advantageous.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and reliability in managing multiple assignments simultaneously.
- A motivated self-starter comfortable adapting in fast-moving environments and collaborating within teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis and automation tasks.
- Familiarity with Git and code version control workflows.
- Interest or background in AI/ML concepts, prompt engineering, or workflow design.
- Experience with business intelligence or database tools such as DBeaver or Power BI.
- Knowledge of maintenance, manufacturing, or facility operations.
- A portfolio or repository showcasing completed data or automation projects used by actual users is highly encouraged.
