Role Summary

We are seeking a bilingual Customs Brokerage Agent eager to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by monitoring freight to guarantee punctual arrival and precise customs declarations, ensuring shipments are delivered within agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor inbound shipments, proactively ensuring delivery to consignees within established timelines.
  • Track flight and vessel schedules, providing timely updates to customers regarding arrival information.
  • Comply with Pharmaceutical & Healthcare regulations including GDP/GDPMDS directives as applicable.
  • Report shipment discrepancies promptly to customers and origin offices.
  • Complete customs competency assessments and file customs entries as necessary.
  • Maintain all documentation precisely, adhering to customer requirements and local regulations.
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to customs entries within customers' expectations, ensuring compliance with Singapore Customs and internal policies.
  • Achieve and maintain 100% customer satisfaction by understanding and addressing customer needs and compliance requirements.
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to customer complaints and inquiries, providing viable solutions or improvement plans.
  • Handle incoming calls professionally and courteously.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into systems.
  • Invoice freight and handling charges promptly and accurately to customers.
  • Prepare and submit reports punctually as required.
  • Undertake additional duties to support departmental objectives.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Tertiary education with at least 1 year of relevant experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as email, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
