Infoware, a company recognized for delivering custom software solutions to startups and enterprises, invites applications for a Backend Developer Intern position specializing in Artificial Intelligence. The company operates predominantly in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, providing comprehensive end-to-end software services.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The intern will be actively involved in developing backend infrastructure and APIs that interface with open-source large language models (LLMs) such as Mistral and LLaMA, and vector databases including FAISS, Qdrant, Weaviate, or Milvus, focusing on offline or edge computing environments. Responsibilities include designing backend services for local LLMs and vector DBs; creating APIs to facilitate prompt engineering, retrieval, and inference; integrating embedding models like BGE and MiniLM; and managing document chunking and embedding workflows. The candidate will optimize applications for mobile and limited-resource devices, package and deploy LLMs using various frameworks (Ollama, llama.cpp, GGUF), and construct pipelines for file ingestion, metadata tagging, indexing, and document processing. Additional tasks involve developing RAG workflows with vector databases, building agentic AI frameworks utilizing multi-agent systems, and ensuring backend services are robust, reliable, and scalable through comprehensive testing and debugging. Collaboration with the broader engineering team to deliver production-quality AI applications is also expected.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be available for a full-time, in-office internship located in Ahmedabad or Gandhinagar.
• Internship start date should be between July 14, 2026, and August 18, 2026.
• The duration of the internship is 5 months.
• Candidates must possess relevant skills and a keen interest in artificial intelligence technologies and backend development.
