Job Overview

Gammon Construction Limited seeks an experienced Workplace Safety & Health Officer to uphold rigorous safety standards and foster a proactive safety culture at our Singapore site. The role involves comprehensive risk management, regulatory compliance, and health and safety advocacy within construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage actively in the risk management process at relevant phases.
• Ensure adherence to legal regulations, codes of practice, client specifications, and company safety policies.
• Perform consistent site inspections and audits to verify safe execution of work activities.
• Offer expert advice and support to project teams on safety matters.
• Maintain and evaluate data from accidents, incidents, complaints, inspections, audits, and safety statistics.
• Lead Health, Safety & Environmental committee meetings.
• Support project teams in applying safe work procedures and preventive measures.
• Implement and maintain the company-wide Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System (HSEMS).
• Promote and build a strong safety culture within the organization.
• Coordinate and promote environmental, health, and safety activities to enhance safety awareness among site personnel.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess a Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health or a related Engineering discipline.
• Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with the Ministry of Manpower.
• Certified Environmental Control Officer with the National Environment Agency (NEA).
• Registered Earth Control Measures Officer.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience serving as a Workplace Safety & Health Officer in the construction industry.
• Environmental Control certification is an advantageous addition.
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive "can-do" approach.
• Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
