Join Macy's as a Visual Execution Specialist at the Herald Square Flagship in New York City, where you will play a key role in curating captivating brand experiences through impactful visual merchandising. Macy's, a retail icon with over 160 years of history, is seeking an experienced leader to craft and maintain visual presentations that inspire customers and boost sales by blending creativity with strategic insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all visual merchandising presentation standards throughout the store.
• Guide the creative team in conceptualizing and designing visual elements supporting seasonal, fashion, trend, and holiday campaigns within the First of Business (FOB) area.
• Plan, administer, and monitor the annual visual merchandising budget, implementing monthly and quarterly cost controls.
• Coordinate with store management, operations teams, senior visual directors, and partners to manage timelines, deliveries, and installation of visual equipment and fixtures.
• Collaborate closely with fashion, marketing, event teams, and external vendors to support initiatives that elevate sales and customer engagement.
• Research and utilize emerging trends, technology, and creative concepts in design, art, interiors, and graphics to innovate presentation methods.
• Coach and develop visual merchandising staff, performing talent evaluations and succession planning on a quarterly basis.
• Promote a workplace culture valuing acceptance and respect that strengthens collegial and customer relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in visual merchandising, store presentation, design, or related disciplines.
• Substantial leadership experience within visual merchandising and retail environments.
• Capability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs, standing for extended periods, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and ladder climbing.
• Visual acuity including close focus, color recognition, and depth perception.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in design and visualization software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp, and Excel.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret business trends, volume drivers, and strategic opportunities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
