Role Summary
This full-time Vice President position is based on-site in Los Angeles, California. The role centers on leading transaction execution from origination through closing, including opportunity sourcing, financial modeling, valuation work, due diligence coordination, and preparation of investment committee materials. The position also involves supervising external advisors, managing virtual data rooms, negotiating deal terms, and assisting with legal documentation.
Beyond transactions, the Vice President will work closely with portfolio company leadership to support value creation efforts, track operating and financial performance, and monitor key metrics. The role also includes coaching junior team members, contributing to fundraising and investor relations materials, and helping improve internal processes and portfolio outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong command of investment analysis, including financial modeling, valuation, capital structure assessment, and scenario analysis.
- Background in private equity, investment banking, or a similar principal investing function with hands-on deal execution, due diligence, and transaction coordination.
- Ability to support portfolio management through KPI tracking, budgeting, performance monitoring, and operational improvement work.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for preparing investment memos, decks, and reports for internal and external audiences.
- Strong relationship-building ability when working with management teams, advisors, lenders, and co-investors in a professional, collaborative manner.
- Experience guiding and developing analysts and associates.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related discipline; an MBA, CFA, or similar advanced qualification is an advantage.
- Proven record of strong performance, careful attention to detail, and good judgment in demanding, fast-moving situations.
- Willingness to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA, and travel to portfolio companies and transaction meetings when required.
