Join Gold Fields as an Underground Service Crew member working on a FIFO roster from Perth, following an 8/6 day and 7/7 night rotation at Granny Smith mine. This position offers a chance to enhance your expertise and advance your career with a renowned owner-operator gold producer.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Supervisor Underground Production, your role will involve executing essential underground infrastructure and support functions that ensure the mine operates safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for installing and upkeeping ventilation, water, power, compressed air, and pump systems. This role demands hands-on involvement, quick problem-solving, and collaboration within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain underground services including ventilation, water, power, compressed air, and pumps
• Operate various tools and equipment such as elevated work platforms, ITCs, light vehicles, and hydraulic machinery to assist underground processes
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance aimed at risk management and minimising operational downtime
• Support development and production teams to maintain safe, effective operations

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in underground mining as a Nipper or Truck Driver
• Strong adherence to safety standards and compliance requirements
• Effective teamwork and communication capabilities
• Physical fitness and experience in demanding work environments
• Valid manual Driver’s License
• Current Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at Heights certification
• Ability to pass a National Police Clearance
