Transport Monitor

About the Position

The Transport Monitor plays a crucial role in ensuring safe and supportive transportation for riders, especially those with disabilities or special needs. This position involves assisting passengers during boarding and alighting, supervising them throughout transport, and ensuring they are safely handed off to authorized guardians or parents. A Transport Monitor must establish positive relationships with riders and their families while strictly enforcing safety protocols such as seatbelt use and remaining seated.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and well-being of riders throughout their transport journey.
• Demonstrate competence in emergency bus evacuation procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of first-aid, and contact emergency services when necessary.
• Manage conflict situations with appropriate interventions following organizational standards and notify authorities as needed.
• Provide transportation services for charter schools.
• Complete and submit required daily documentation to uphold company standards.

Requirements

• Availability to work Monday through Friday, between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM with variable hours ranging from 20 to 40 per week.
• Maintain a consistent professional appearance adhering to company uniform and identification requirements.
• Exhibit dependable attendance and uphold ethical, respectful behavior toward colleagues, clients, and supervisors.
• Possess and sustain a valid CPR certification.
