About The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Trades Assistant to join our team at the Cambridge Depot. This practical position involves travelling across Tasmania to contribute to a variety of construction projects. The role requires regular travel and overnight stays away from home, balanced by the advantage of working a 9-day fortnight.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support and assistance to Electrical Tradespeople during construction activities.
- Perform tasks such as digging pole holes, earth trenches, and completing general yard or depot duties.
- Interpret and adhere to work instructions, project plans, and safety protocols.
- Conduct all work in compliance with company policies, quality systems, health, safety and environmental procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a positive team environment focused on safety, quality, and superior customer service.

About You
- Experience working as a versatile Trades Assistant with practical skills supporting tradespeople.
- Competence using hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate efficiently in fast-paced and evolving environments.
- Possession of a current Driver's Licence; a Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence is highly advantageous.
- High Risk Work Licences such as Forklift and/or C2 Crane are highly desirable.
- Possession of a Blue or White Card (Construction Industry OHS Induction Card).
