Role Summary
This onsite position at Pratt & Whitney in Singapore involves performing and supervising nondestructive testing (NDT) processes for aerospace components, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, calibrate, and standardize NDT equipment, process parts, assess results against acceptance criteria, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Provide guidance and training to Level 1 personnel and trainees while understanding the certification scope and limitations of testing methods.
- Comply with relevant codes, standards, and contractual documents regulating techniques and methods.
- Conduct performance verifications aligned with established process standards.
- Develop and oversee procedures and inspection sheets approved under NDT Level 3 guidelines.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 400 hours of experience performing Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) in aerospace contexts, with at least two years of hands-on work related to aircraft structures, engines, or components; equivalent training or experience is acceptable.
- Valid certification under NAS410, EN4179, PCN, ASNT, or SNT-TC-1A standards.
- Fundamental understanding of product manufacturing, inspection techniques, and aircraft engine maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledgeable in SAP software.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure, fast-paced environments effectively.
- Demonstrated skills in continuous improvement and multitasking.
