Job Overview

The role involves photographing products destined for online listings and auction catalogs within a high-volume, fast-paced studio setting. Candidates must provide a portfolio showcasing product photography that demonstrates competence in areas like lighting, composition, and visual appeal.

Location

The position is based south of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, near the northwest corner of W. Airport Freeway (Hwy. 183) and Valley View Lane.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality images of tabletop collectibles, handbags, comics, jerseys, and related items to meet standards for weekly internet sales, auctions, advertisements, and magazines.
• Adapt quickly and switch between various studio roles and functions as work demands fluctuate.
• Utilize strong photo direction skills to implement lighting setups efficiently and accurately.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possess formal photography education such as a Fine Art or Technical degree or equivalent practical experience acquired on the job.
• Preferably have more than seven years in a professional commercial photography studio, especially in high-end, high-volume retail, eCommerce, or advertising environments.

Skills and Abilities

• Work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a creative team setting.
• Follow detailed photo layouts and written instructions meticulously.
• Be proficient in Mac-based image capture software, specifically Capture One Pro and Adobe Photoshop.
• Exhibit strong verbal, written communication, and organizational capabilities.
• Maintain physical stamina to stand or walk for the duration of shifts and occasionally lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions

• Operate within a fast-paced catalog photography environment requiring rapid turnaround.
• Willingness to accept occasional overtime and weekend shifts, with commitment to a consistent work schedule.
