Role Overview
The Student Counselor position is a full-time role based in Virudhunagar with a hybrid working model offering partial remote flexibility. This counselor will provide expert guidance to prospective international students, assisting them in identifying the best courses, institutions, and study destinations aligned with their academic backgrounds, personal interests, and career aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct personalized counseling sessions for students seeking overseas education.
- Manage inquiries through phone calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings.
- Provide detailed information about application methods, admission criteria, scholarship opportunities, and visa formalities.
- Maintain thorough, up-to-date student records and follow up on prospective leads.
- Coordinate communication and processes with international academic institutions and internal departments.
- Support the organization of educational fairs, seminars, and orientation events.
- Develop and sustain strong, supportive relationships with students and their families, ensuring a professional counseling experience throughout.
Candidate Profile
- Possess robust skills in student and career counseling to effectively assist students in their academic and career decisions.
- Excellent communication and customer service aptitude to engage professionally with students, families, and partner institutions.
- Sound knowledge of global education systems, including admissions, visa procedures, and scholarships.
- Preferably have prior experience in overseas education consulting or related student-oriented advisory roles.
- Strong organizational abilities and multitasking skills for managing documentation and numerous student files simultaneously.
- A bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Management, or a similar area is preferred; additional certifications in counseling or career guidance are advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office, familiarity with CRM or student management systems, and capability to operate effectively in a hybrid work environment.
