At Intuit Credit Karma, our Recs Platform team creates personalized financial recommendations that help millions make informed financial choices. The team builds innovative recommendation platforms, including advanced deep learning retrieval and ranking systems for tailored suggestions.

In this position, you will enhance and fine-tune the essential services that drive these recommendations, working closely with software engineers, data scientists, and data engineers. Your contributions will directly influence the way millions manage their finances.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and improve core products and infrastructure powering critical services.
• Gain hands-on experience developing software using languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Integrate services using databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB and design RESTful APIs.
• Adopt and implement engineering best practices and utilize modern tools like Git, Jenkins, or Travis for software development and maintenance.
• Actively collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams, fostering strong working relationships with peers across disciplines.
• Receive mentorship from senior engineers to support professional growth and skill development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of software development experience including relevant coursework, internships, or personal projects.
• Basic understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience or academic exposure to programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
• Familiarity with AI concepts, including general awareness of Generative AI capabilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate within a team environment.
• Growth mindset with enthusiasm for learning new technologies and adapting in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace.
