Role Overview

As a Frontend Software Engineer at Path Robotics, you will be instrumental in developing user-friendly and efficient front-end solutions primarily utilizing React. Your work will bridge the gap between software and its users, enhancing the cloud platform that converts CAD designs into welding plans, and designing the touchscreen interface used on factory floors to operate robotic welding cells. The system you help build connects various robots, sensors, and manufacturing infrastructure with advanced algorithms.

Technical Environment

• Develop with React and TypeScript within an Nx monorepo, employing libraries like MUI, Redux Toolkit, Vite, react-hook-form, and i18n.
• Implement interactive 3D visualizations using three.js to display parts, welds, and robotic scenes.
• Work alongside back-end services built on Node.js and C#.
• Use Git for version control and branching strategies.
• Deploy applications and manage cloud infrastructure with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform on AWS.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines powered by GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate through Slack, Jira, Confluence, and Google Workspace.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with engineers and designers to integrate and deploy front-end features effectively.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to uphold quality.
• Engage in all phases of the software development cycle from ideation to deployment and upkeep.
• Diagnose and fix complex technical challenges.
• Design and implement front-end aspects of the authoring platform and human-machine interface (HMI).
• Use feature flags and entitlement gates to safely ship features.
• Create reusable and high-performance components that endure through workflows.
• Continuously explore and apply emerging technologies to improve operations.

Candidate Profile

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Between 1 to 6 years of experience contributing to production-level software applications.
• Solid expertise in React and TypeScript, with familiarity managing shared component libraries in monorepos.
• Experience with Node.js and/or C# back-end services and relational databases.
• Proficiency with software life cycle tools including Git, CI/CD, and container-based deployment in cloud platforms like AWS.
• Bonus: skills in 3D graphics (three.js/WebGL), large-scale state management, accessibility, or industrial/HMI interfaces.
