Social Media Coordinator

About the Role and Company

Insomniac Europe is seeking a Social Media Coordinator passionate about dance music and social media to join their team in Calabasas, CA. The company produces world-renowned, immersive music festivals enhanced by top-tier lighting, pyrotechnics, sound, and large-scale artistic performances aimed at delivering premium fan experiences. Among its many events, Insomniac manages over 10,000 concerts, shows, and festivals annually, including the iconic Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with social media and marketing teams to create and manage captivating content across multiple brand channels.
• Write creatively while aligning with brand identities, focusing on captions and visual asset choices.
• Develop detailed social media calendars and proposals covering concerts, branded shows, and festivals.
• Oversee scheduling and publishing of social posts following approvals.
• Coordinate social media asset distribution and posts for departments like merchandise, nightclubs, and record labels.
• Work with the Headliner Experience team to monitor customer service inquiries and relay social media feedback.
• Prepare social media reports summarizing event sales and announcements.
• Support social and marketing staff during onsite events and festivals.
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training team members and perform additional assigned tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in social media marketing and customer service.
• Strong understanding of electronic music, festival culture, and live music environments.
• Familiar with local music scenes, venues, and nightlife.
• Organized, detail-oriented self-starter with excellent collaboration skills.
• Proficient with platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram (including Stories), TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, and live streaming apps.
• Experienced in social media management tools like HootSuite, TweetDeck, and Sprinklr.
• Skilled in grammar, copywriting, and selecting relevant content assets.
• Basic expertise in Adobe Photoshop, GIF creation, and other content creation applications.
• Previous experience working onsite at concerts, festivals, or large-scale events.

Work Environment and Additional Information

• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet event deadlines.
• Ability to tolerate loud environments and varying temperatures at event locations.
• Work will be performed in an open office setting.
• Applicants must have legal work authorization in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.
