Site Services Operator

Role overview

Bega Group is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Site Services Operator for its Tatura facility in Victoria. The site is a major dairy production location with a strong reputation for high-quality products, including cream cheese, infant formula, nutritional lactoferrin, milk powders and single-serve butter.

This is a permanent full-time position on a Monday to Friday day shift. The role supports the day-to-day cleanliness, presentation and functionality of a food manufacturing environment, while also assisting with minor maintenance work and continuous improvement activities.

Working hours

The position requires availability from Monday to Friday, with shifts either from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM or from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Overtime may be needed, and rotating weekend shifts will also be part of the yearly schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe working practices at all times and promptly report hazards or safety concerns.
• Carry out assigned daily cleaning duties and complete required checks, records, and sign-offs on approved log sheets and work sheets.
• Track cleaning supply levels, replenish storage areas, and prepare equipment for the next shift.
• Support ongoing site maintenance and improvement efforts.
• Keep the site hygienic and aligned with Good Manufacturing Practices by using tools such as a street sweeper, hose and pressure washer.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will bring a strong safety attitude and a clear commitment to health and safety standards. You should have experience handling chemicals such as detergents and sanitisers, and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. The job also suits someone who can manage competing priorities in a busy, fast-moving environment. A valid forklift licence is mandatory.

Additional information

The successful applicant must complete a pre-employment medical assessment. A current Australian driver’s licence is also required.
