Site Engineer / Project Engineer - Civil Earthworks and Roading

About the Role

ConsultANZ is currently recruiting for a skilled Site Engineer / Project Engineer to contribute to civil earthworks and roading projects based in Sydney, New South Wales. The position involves direct involvement in site coordination and project delivery within a dynamic infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily onsite activities to ensure efficient operations.
• Guarantee project completion within safety guidelines, scheduled timelines, and budget constraints.
• Develop and assess construction schedules, methodologies, and detailed work packages.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and allocate site resources effectively.
• Track project progress while maintaining strict quality standards.
• Support cost monitoring, forecasting processes, and compile regular project status reports.
• Analyze and verify engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Have 3 to 5 years’ practical experience as a Civil Engineer focused on civil earthworks and/or road construction projects.
• Proven capabilities in project delivery management including planning, procurement, cost control, and schedule oversight.
• Exhibit strong leadership abilities with experience directing site teams and managing subcontractors.
• Comprehensive understanding of Australian construction standards and workplace safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
