Shift Team Leader - Night Shift

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Shift Team Leader to supervise a high-performance production crew in Auckland's rapidly evolving manufacturing sector. This full-time, permanent position operates on a consistent 2-2-3 night-shift rotation, involving 12.25-hour shifts from 5:45 PM to 6:00 AM, averaging a minimum of 42.88 work hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with technicians and equipment operators to maintain peak performance of automated manufacturing machinery.
• Lead the shift team effectively, ensuring seamless handoffs and clear communication between shifts.
• Manage production activities to meet operational goals and maintain quality and safety standards.
• Create a supportive environment that promotes personal and professional development within the team.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

• Experience operating and troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment.
• Strong analytical skills with aptitude for data interpretation and process optimization.
• Familiarity with Integrated Work System (IWS), Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Knowledge of safety protocols, quality control systems, and enforcement of 5S workplace standards.
• Ability to mentor and develop team members' technical skills.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing environments, preferably within the dairy or food sectors.
• Technical background in electrical and mechanical manufacturing processes is preferred.
• Excellent communication abilities and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, safety initiatives, and loss elimination.
