Senior QA/QC Inspector

Role overview

UCC Holding is looking for a Senior QA/QC Inspector in Riyadh to help ensure construction work is completed in line with approved methods, project specifications, and international quality expectations. The role focuses on delivering work that meets or surpasses client requirements through strong quality planning, inspections, and control practices across all construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the application and upkeep of quality management systems, procedures, and standards so the work stays aligned with regulatory requirements and recognized industry practices.
• Create inspection plans, checklists, and quality-control procedures that cover the project or process thoroughly.
• Carry out routine quality audits and site inspections on work activities, materials, and finished outputs to confirm they match specifications, codes, standards, and customer expectations.
• Record defects, deviations, and non-conformities during inspections, then work with project teams to put corrective and preventive measures in place.
• Keep detailed and accurate inspection records, reports, findings, and corrective action logs to support traceability and document-control requirements.
• Review supplier and subcontractor performance in terms of quality delivery, including supplier audits and assessments where required.
• Train and guide QA/QC inspectors and project teams on quality procedures, controls, and best practices to strengthen a culture of quality.
• Spot opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs in quality-related activities, and help implement corrective and preventive actions for continuous improvement.
• Work closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve quality concerns and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ensure the work remains compliant with applicable regulations, industry standards, and quality-system certifications, and take part in audits and assessments as needed.
• Support HSE initiatives, contribute to safety awareness activities, and assist with incident reporting and follow-up in line with company and IMS policies.

Knowledge and skills

The position requires strong familiarity with Quality Management Systems or an Integrated Management System, along with practical experience handling QA/QC issues in a technical environment. The role also calls for confident use of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Primavera, and ERP tools, with SAP functional knowledge preferred. The candidate should be comfortable interpreting technical data and using logical and quantitative reasoning.

Standards and systems

Working knowledge of relevant standards and specifications is important, including ISO 9001, QCS, ASTM, BS, BS EN, ACI, and AASHTO.

Education and experience

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required, or alternatively a Lead Auditor certification in ISO 9001 (or equivalent) or ASQC certification such as CQM/CQE. The role also requires at least 5 years of work experience.
