Role Overview
This position is for a Senior Lead Project Engineer in the Infrastructure team focusing on large-scale power infrastructure projects across Ireland, including Connection Projects, Network Projects, and PMO involvement. The role requires overseeing infrastructure delivery for key projects from initiation through construction and commissioning to project closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the successful delivery of medium to large electrical infrastructure projects meeting schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
- Lead projects throughout their full life cycle, including feasibility, statutory planning, consent acquisition, detailed design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Conduct site visits to existing and new substations and transmission circuit locations as needed.
- Ensure adherence to governance and control procedures in project management processes.
Candidate Profile
- Holds an engineering degree or equivalent with a minimum of six years relevant experience in the power industry.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of complex, large-scale infrastructure projects and deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Strong passion, enthusiasm, and ability to motivate teams to achieve strategic objectives.
- Exceptional communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including business leaders.
- Proven experience in coaching and developing high-performance teams in dynamic environments.
- Thorough understanding of transmission system requirements and industry stakeholder expectations.
- Possession of a valid full driving licence.
