Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Role Overview

MongoDB is in pursuit of an experienced Senior Manager for Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to enhance our global Corporate FP&A group. This position entails close collaboration with senior finance leaders to shape and oversee the worldwide forecasting and planning processes. We are seeking a proactive professional who can navigate multiple priorities, communicate effectively with executive leadership, and thrive in a dynamic and fast-moving environment. Adaptability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement of financial systems are core to this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and modernize financial planning models and systems by partnering with IT, People, and Finance teams; contribute to enhancing our Pigment financial planning platform and related tools.
• Implement and standardize AI-driven automation across FP&A operations to boost efficiency.
• Manage the corporate planning calendar, consolidating forecasts and harmonizing the planning process while maintaining regular communication of deadlines and deliverables to stakeholders.
• Own and lead forecast reconciliation efforts to accurately monitor company performance.
• Create insightful management reports that translate complex financial data into clear narratives for senior executives including the CEO, CFO, SVP Finance, and Board members.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a focused team of analysts and associates to build a high-performing Corporate FP&A unit.
• Collaborate with various departments to streamline processes and improve operational efficiencies.
• Forecast global budget elements such as payroll taxes, employee benefits, and allocations.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or economics is required; an MBA is considered advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A or related finance roles.
• Advanced expertise in financial modeling and proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and the Pigment planning system.
• Exceptional organizational capabilities and a talent for clarifying complex or disorganized information.
• Technologically savvy with a passion for adopting new systems and tools; comfortable creating integrations such as spreadsheet plug-ins.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills enabling effective stakeholder engagement.
• Experience managing diverse stakeholders and balancing competing priorities.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data and formulate actionable recommendations.
• Keen problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to addressing challenges.
• Creativity and high motivation combined with the ability to establish structure in uncertain, fast-evolving business settings.
• Excellent project management skills with an emphasis on detail orientation, multi-tasking, and comprehensive follow-up.
• A process-oriented mindset and capability to devise structured solutions for ambiguous or complex challenges, balancing tactical execution and strategic vision.
