About Maynooth University Centre for Teaching and Learning
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at Maynooth University functions as a key unit within the Office of the Vice President for Students and Learning. Its mission is to foster an engaged teaching and learning community by offering professional development opportunities and supporting scholarship relating to teaching and learning practices.
Role Overview
The university is seeking a Senior Educational Developer specialized in digital education who will play a pivotal role in advancing academic staff development and educational practices. This position involves leading initiatives, projects, and programmes aimed at improving digital teaching, learning, and assessment at the university.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of both accredited and non-accredited professional development initiatives.
- Collaborate with faculty members and program teams to develop research-based, innovative, and flexible curricula.
- Work closely with the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) and Educational Development teams to enhance teaching practices and digital education strategies.
- Report directly to the Head of the Centre for Teaching and Learning.
Additional Information
- Appointment will be made in line with public sector pay guidelines.
- Salary range is €60,410 to €86,192 per annum (Administrative Officer I, 9 points scale).
- The role is governed by the University Statutes.
