Senior Data Analyst

About the Role

We seek a seasoned Senior Data Analyst to join a technology squad engaged in a comprehensive data transformation initiative. This role offers an excellent chance for a professional who thrives on hands-on SQL development, ETL engineering, and reporting, while also contributing to the advancement of a modern cloud-centric data platform.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing current data solutions and supporting the shift of legacy data assets to a new data architecture.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect, implement and sustain ETL workflows utilizing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Create and refine sophisticated SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models for optimal performance.
• Develop and uphold both operational and compliance reporting through SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Guarantee the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of voluminous payments data sets.
• Assist in migrating data assets and reporting setups to a cutting-edge data platform.
• Collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solid data-driven solutions.
• Diagnose and rectify data quality problems through comprehensive root cause analysis.
• Contribute actively to documentation, testing processes, and ongoing enhancement efforts.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of seven years' experience working within SQL Server environments.
• Advanced skills in SQL querying and performance optimization.
• Proficient understanding and hands-on experience with SSIS and SSRS.
• Demonstrated experience managing large, complex datasets, preferably in financial services or payment sectors.
• Sound knowledge of ETL architecture, data warehousing techniques, and reporting methodologies.
• Strong analytical capabilities paired with excellent problem-solving aptitude.
• Effective communicator capable of addressing both technical and business audiences.
• Ability to work autonomously under fast-paced and project-driven conditions.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Snowflake and AWS.
• Background in data migration or transformation projects.
• Experience with contemporary data engineering frameworks like dbt or Airflow.
• Understanding of data governance policies, data quality assurance frameworks, and regulatory reporting standards.
