Role Overview
Join COBS Bread as a Senior Baker and lead the production of high-quality artisan breads and baked goods. This role involves mentoring junior bakers, overseeing daily baking operations, and maintaining top standards of freshness and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and support to the baking team in creating a variety of breads and pastries that comply with COBS recipes and standards.
- Manage production schedules daily to ensure baking processes are carried out efficiently and on time.
- Help monitor inventory levels and coordinate ordering of baking ingredients.
- Enforce rigorous cleanliness and food safety standards within the bakery environment.
- Train and support the development of junior bakers to enhance their skills and baking knowledge.
- Work collaboratively with management to continuously enhance baking processes and product quality.
Candidate Requirements
- At least three years of experience in baking within commercial or artisan bakery settings.
- Demonstrated leadership or senior role experience in a baking context.
- Strong understanding of baking techniques, recipes, and quality control standards.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and perform well under pressure.
- Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
- Dedicated to upholding cleanliness, food safety, and occupational health standards.
Physical Demands
- Standing and walking continuously throughout shifts.
- Occasionally lifting and carrying ingredients or products weighing up to 22 kilograms.
- Bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling within bakery operations as required.
- Frequent hand use including wrist movements like rotation and flexing.
