Position Overview

Serving as a Self Checkout Attendant at Walmart Canada offers a valuable opportunity to enhance your expertise within the retail sector. This role emphasizes delivering outstanding customer service to guarantee a satisfying shopping atmosphere. You'll assist patrons as they complete transactions via the self-checkout areas.

Key Duties

• Maintaining the self-checkout zones clean, orderly, and free from clutter or hazards such as debris, objects, or spills.
• Guiding customers on the proper and efficient use of self-service technologies whenever needed.
• Advocating company-sponsored programs including credit card services, product warranties, and charitable activities when applicable.
• Monitoring customer interactions to identify when assistance is required.
• Providing courteous explanations regarding self-service interventions and quality checks, reassuring customers that these procedures are standard protocol.
• Handling Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) alarms knowledgeably and completing related logs.
• Alerting the Customer Service Manager about cash shortages or technical issues within the self-service area.
• Ensuring used Scan & Go devices are returned to their designated stations.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position begins at $17.75.
