Role overview

The Bureau of Naval Personnel is seeking a Security Assistant in Millington, TN to support command security operations and handle clearance-related administrative work.

Key duties

• Track and keep clearance-eligibility records current.
• Start and manage security clearance investigation requests for contractors.
• Maintain electronic reference files for security clearance data and building badge requests.

Employment conditions

Qualifications

Applicants need at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-05 level, or an equivalent level of experience in federal service or the private/public sector. The specialized experience must include assisting with command security program management, initiating contractor clearance investigation requests, tracking clearance actions such as background investigations, reinvestigations, and fingerprints, and coordinating with installation security staff for contractor visits.
