Scheduling Manager

Role Overview

A leading Canadian general contractor, through MatchBox Consulting Group, is hiring a Scheduling Manager to help steer one of Alberta’s largest healthcare construction projects. This is a senior, hands-on leadership position focused on building, maintaining, and improving project schedules across the full construction lifecycle. The role involves close coordination with project leaders, operations teams, consultants, and other stakeholders to keep the work on track and major milestones on target.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and improve master project schedules in Primavera P6.
• Track overall progress, identify critical path items, and flag schedule-related risks.
• Oversee schedule revisions, forecasting activities, and recovery plans when timelines slip.
• Assist pre-construction planning efforts and support execution teams during delivery.
• Perform schedule reviews, reporting, and time impact assessments.
• Guide, coach, and support other members of the scheduling team.

Required Background

• At least 6 years of experience in construction scheduling.
• Advanced working knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Experience on major construction programs, ideally $150M or larger.
• Exposure to commercial, institutional, healthcare, or large infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholders.
