Role Overview

As a SAP Systems Administrator within the Digital Division's IT Group, you will manage and maintain enterprise applications supporting internal business functions. Your expertise will be crucial in solving IT issues, ensuring systems are compliant with organizational policies and best practices, and driving improvements through architectural reviews and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support Enterprise Applications aligning with industry standards and SLAs.
• Provide technical assistance for user IT concerns related to Enterprise Applications.
• Review current system architectures and implement automation to enhance system management.
• Support onboarding of new applications into DSO’s IT environment.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies in application deployment.
• Analyse system usage and issues to apply corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead installation, configuration, and administration of SAP S/4HANA systems including HANA database management.
• Manage system copies, client refreshes, and conduct performance tuning to maintain optimal health.
• Handle SAP transport management, kernel upgrades, and patching processes.
• Establish and maintain high availability and disaster recovery strategies for SAP landscapes.
• Collaborate closely with functional teams, developers, and infrastructure engineers for integrated solutions.
• Support SAP platform migrations to newer environments.
• Maintain compliance with security protocols including user administration, role management, and audit preparation.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP BASIS, including at least 2 years in SAP S/4HANA environments; experience with SAP ECC is advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of HANA database administration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager, Fiori, and integration techniques such as IDOCs, RFCs, and BAPIs.
• Experience with cloud-based SAP deployments and migration tools (SUM, DMO).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with resilience in high-pressure situations.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative work approach.
• Professional certifications such as HFI Certified Usability Analyst, CompTIA Data+, Certified Data Professional, Certified Ethical Hacker, Certified ScrumMaster, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, or SAP certified professional are considered a plus.
