SAP Functional Lead – Order Management

Role Overview

The Functional Lead for Order Management is tasked with overseeing the comprehensive delivery of SAP system processes within the Order Management domain. This includes managing sales orders, billing documents, purchase orders, and their relevant integrations with related processes, ensuring these elements are designed, configured, documented, and implemented to high standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Own and steer the entire Order Management workflow, covering Sales Order Management, Billing Documents Management, Purchase Order Management, and integration points with other process streams.
• Convert business needs into precise functional designs, system configurations, and clear process documentation.
• Guarantee that solutions align with SAP standard functionalities while meeting business objectives.
• Configure and administer solutions in SAP SD and MM modules, including associated Fiori apps and transactions.
• Keep solutions up to date by applying knowledge of recent SAP functionalities and innovations.
• Implement and validate standard SAP APIs relevant to SD and MM operations.
• Collaborate with development teams by clearly articulating technical requirements to ensure mutual understanding between functional and technical parties.
• Support the build process and troubleshoot issues through ABAP debugging, CDS views analysis, and root cause investigation of integration or process defects.
• Lead a team of four offshore functional members, assigning and prioritizing work to optimize delivery.
• Handle risks, interdependencies, and timelines to meet team goals effectively.
• Monitor quality by providing guidance and reviewing deliverables consistently.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and project leadership, outlining challenges, evaluating impact, and suggesting well-founded solutions.
• Enhance delivery governance by providing streamlined status reports, identifying risks, and escalating issues when necessary.
