Our Worldwide Sustainability organization leverages Amazon's scale to improve social and environmental impacts globally through innovative partnerships and strategies. Within the Human Rights & Social Impact program, we advance accountability by embedding respect for human rights and environmental principles across Amazon’s value chain through standards like the Global Human Rights Principles (GHRP) and Supply Chain Standards (SCS).
Position Summary
The Regional Remediation Lead will head a team responsible for assessing, addressing, and resolving complex human rights and social compliance challenges across the Asia-Pacific and Japan-China (APJC) region. This leadership role requires managing a high volume of cross-jurisdictional cases, coaching managers, and translating global compliance frameworks into effective regional programs that uphold Amazon's commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and lead a regional team of Human Rights Compliance Managers, offering mentorship, assigning cases, and supporting career growth.
- Manage complete case processes for human rights and social compliance investigations, ensuring thorough and prompt resolution.
- Act as regional expert on human rights due diligence frameworks, including GHRP and SCS.
- Collaborate with Global Remediation and Investigation Team (GRIT) leadership and cross-functional partners to align with enterprise compliance priorities.
- Establish and maintain regional reporting on case metrics, trends, and outcomes.
- Detect systemic risks, escalate emerging issues with mitigation recommendations to senior leaders.
- Drive improvements in operating models, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and impact.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Marketing, Social Sciences, Law, or related humanities disciplines.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in compliance, audit, or risk management.
- At least 3 years of experience managing and developing teams.
- Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects and programs.
- Experience presenting findings to senior leadership and documenting conclusions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with global organizations managing multi-country responsibilities.
- Track record in designing and implementing large-scale programs.
- Strong skills in data analysis and insight-driven decision making.
- Advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
- Familiarity with international human rights frameworks like UN Guiding Principles, ILO standards, and OECD Guidelines.
- Experience with grievance mechanisms or worker voice program design.
- Professional language skills in Mandarin, Japanese, or Hindi to support regional compliance efforts.
