Position Summary
The Purchasing Analyst will be responsible for managing supplier activities related to the Parts, Garments & Accessories business, ensuring timely product delivery to distribution centers. This role involves collaboration with demand planning teams to accurately assess and adjust purchase quantities supporting inventory targets and service goals. The analyst will oversee purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, address backorders, and resolve any order or invoicing discrepancies.
Key Duties
- Develop and maintain supplier partnerships to secure consistent on-time deliveries to distribution facilities.
- Evaluate system-generated purchase recommendations and coordinate with demand planners to optimize ordering accuracy.
- Authorize purchase orders, track delivery progress, and expedite shipments when necessary to meet service levels.
- Tackle backorder challenges aligning solutions with customer service standards.
- Lead initiatives aimed at reducing supplier costs and inventory levels.
- Negotiate terms including costs, lead times, Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ), and Economic Order Quantities (EOQ) to align with company objectives.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving invoices and purchase orders.
- Alert leadership promptly regarding urgent supplier or purchasing concerns.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least one year of experience handling the purchase order lifecycle.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and process improvement mindset.
- Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Capability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Ability to operate effectively in a hybrid work environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Compensation
The starting salary range for Minnesota-based candidates is $64,550 to $84,750 annually. Placement within this range considers education, experience, expertise, skills, and location. It is uncommon to commence employment at the upper end of this scale.
