This role is based at the Brook Park, Ohio location.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced project manager possessing over 15 years of aerospace or space flight development experience, particularly in managing lifecycle costs and schedules, to lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee a diverse engineering and support team throughout the aerospace project lifecycle, from developing requirements through to system verification, delivery, and ongoing sustainment.
Collaborate with project schedulers to build and maintain resource-loaded project schedules ensuring timely and sequenced task completion.
Conduct monthly cost and schedule assessments and provide updates to customers.
Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure critical component deliveries.
Engage with NASA and various subcontractors to coordinate deliverables and define requirements.
Work with quality assurance and technical staff to facilitate system hardware realization.
Lead preparation of gate review documents and ensure timely closure of post-review actions.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional technical teams in space flight or aerospace projects.
Familiarity with aerospace and space flight standards and regulatory compliance.
Proven track record managing projects valued at $10 million or more, especially those with compressed timelines under two years.
Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent is preferred.

Physical and Work Environment

Excellent verbal, written, and phone communication capabilities required.
Normal conversational hearing; vision correctable to 20/20 in at least one eye.
Work is conducted onsite at the Brook Park facility.
Use of standard office equipment such as computers, calculators, fax machines, copiers, scanners, and printers is essential.
Reliable personal transportation is necessary for work-related travel.
