Role Overview

The Program Manager plays a pivotal leadership role within the project delivery function, overseeing complex programs and ensuring adherence to standards, policies, and methodologies. This role involves managing multiple Project Managers across workstreams and collaborating closely with HDT and Business Leads to drive successful program implementation, managing risks, budgets, scope, timelines, and organizational change efforts. Clear and effective communication is essential, including delivering updates to senior leadership such as the CEO and Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project delivery standards, organizational change management, budget, and scope controls when formal methodologies are not defined.
• Ensure compliance with project governance frameworks and applicable methodologies.
• Apply quality standards across project planning, execution, and documentation; coach teams on quality expectations.
• Coordinate the program operations leadership team to integrate business, technology, and governance pillars effectively.
• Define program scope and structure workstreams strategically.
• Manage changes and interventions to guarantee achievement of program goals and critical success factors.
• Build and lead a competent team of project managers ensuring alignment and high performance.
• Guide resources and provide leadership in project assignments.
• Develop and monitor budgets encompassing capital, operational, and labor expenses; optimize resource allocation.
• Demonstrate expertise in organizational change management, developing and overseeing OCM plans collaboratively.
• Develop and implement communication plans to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
• Facilitate regular program leadership meetings to review progress and enable timely decisions.
• Lead creation and maintenance of a comprehensive, dependency-based program schedule involving internal and external partners.
• Deliver timely, accurate status reporting throughout the program lifecycle.
• Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks to successful program delivery.
• Collaborate with the Test Lead to establish a thorough testing plan covering all workstreams.
• Address complex problems by considering resources, capacity, and constraints to devise effective solutions.
• Effectively communicate with senior leadership, SMEs, technical staff, project managers, developers, and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• At least 12 years of relevant experience.
• A minimum of 8 years managing enterprise technology platforms, software development, and business application implementation projects.
• PMP or PgMP certification is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Experience managing large-scale ERP or equivalent implementations.
• Technology project management experience within healthcare settings is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar tools for managing complex project plans.
• Strong skills in cross-functional communication, project advocacy, planning, negotiation, leadership, and relationship building.
• Ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management.
• High drive, problem-solving aptitude, positive attitude towards change, and ability to influence without authority.
• Integrity, transparency, respectfulness, and prioritization of patient-centric outcomes.
