About the Role
This permanent full-time position commences in Term 4, 2026, based at Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School, a regional school in Western Australia. The school educates over 900 students from Years 7 to 10 and values an inclusive and supportive community environment focused on student success. The role is a key leadership position within the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for strategic oversight of operational systems that support teaching excellence and whole-school improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic oversight and coordination of school-wide timetabling and operational planning.
- Manage statewide assessments including OLNA, NAPLAN, examinations, and compliance with education authorities.
- Drive school improvement planning and its effective implementation.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of school-wide data to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and continuously improve operational systems and processes within the school.
- Implement and review the School Business Plan.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Education and School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) requirements.
- Coordinate major school events and whole-school initiatives.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration that enhances teaching, learning, and student pathways.
- Lead change initiatives to improve educational outcomes for all students.
- Potentially maintain a teaching load to remain connected with classroom practices while leading strategic tasks.

Professional Benefits
- Attractive Country Teaching Program Allowance of AUD 10,210 annually.
- District allowance of AUD 2,354 annually.

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be an Australian/New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or possess a valid visa with appropriate work rights for the entire appointment.
- Hold current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
- Obtain a valid Working With Children Check prior to commencement.
- Consent to and acquire a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check Screening Clearance issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before starting.
