PRO/Government Relations Officer - Defence and Aerospace Sector

About the Role and Organization

We are partnering with a UAE-based entity operating in a tightly regulated defence and government contracting sector, seeking a seasoned PRO/Government Relations Officer. The company, SEGULA Technologies, is a global engineering leader present in over 30 countries, emphasizing client partnerships and innovation across multiple industrial sectors including aerospace and defence.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle government-related transactions including employee visa and residency matters.
• Oversee work permit applications and immigration formalities.
• Manage the renewal process of corporate licenses and permits.
• Liaise routinely with UAE government bodies to facilitate approvals and renewals.
• Maintain meticulous records of all government interactions and monitor expiry dates to ensure timely renewals.
• Collaborate closely with HR and administrative teams to support regulatory compliance.
• Build and nurture professional relationships with relevant government stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a PRO or in government relations within the UAE environment.
• Familiarity with government authority procedures and documentation.
• Experience working within the defence industry, government contracting, or other heavily regulated sectors is strongly preferred.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English languages.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to track and follow up on multiple pending government transactions.
• Prior experience working in Abu Dhabi is a significant advantage.
