Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Production Coordinator to lead our Aircraft Surface Protection line operations in Hamburg. This role requires managing a team of four Team Leaders, remaining closely involved with on-site activities to ensure smooth progress and timely resolution when issues arise. We are a Tier 1 Global Supplier and OEM-certified partner to Airbus, holding EN/AS9100 and ISO9001 certifications and employing more than 400 staff. All sites adhere to ISO14001 environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily production of surface protection and coating projects via coordination with four Team Leaders
- Maintain visible presence on the production floor rather than solely relying on reports
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks proactively to avoid time and cost overruns
- Enforce stringent safety protocols and operational procedures without compromise
- Support and develop Team Leaders by providing guidance, accountability, and assistance with performance or personnel challenges
- Establish a leadership team that prioritizes ownership and safety
- Serve as primary liaison for customers throughout project execution, including participation in meetings, audits, and reviews

- Monitor KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity
- Oversee project costs and provide comprehensive status reports
Qualifications
- Proven practical experience managing production teams within manufacturing, aerospace, aviation, or coatings sectors
- Skilled at leading through supervisors while maintaining direct floor engagement to address issues promptly
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects on schedule, within scope, and budget
- Strong interpersonal skills comfortable with customer-facing roles
- Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Desirable Additional Experience
- Background in aircraft painting, aerospace coatings, corrosion protection, or surface treatment processes
- Familiarity with Airbus, Boeing, MRO operations, or aerospace manufacturing environments
- Exposure to Lean methodologies, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma principles
- Knowledge of aerospace quality management systems
Compensation and Benefits
- A position in a growing aerospace sector with direct influence over site performance
- A multicultural, international work environment
- Annual gross salary ranging between 70000 and 80000 euros, depending on qualifications and experience
