Role Overview
The Process Improvement Specialist is responsible for identifying, documenting, and enhancing business processes throughout various departments. The goal is to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate service quality by spearheading ongoing improvement initiatives aligned with company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather requirements through sessions with relevant departments to understand current operations.
- Create detailed documentation of existing workflows (AS-IS) employing standardized process documentation techniques.
- Develop optimized future workflows (TO-BE) that focus on removing inefficiencies and redundancies by collaborating with all stakeholders.
- Oversee and coordinate the rollout of approved process changes.
- Provide training to staff on newly designed or updated processes to ensure effective adoption.
- Track and measure process performance after implementation using key performance indicators such as time, cost, and quality.
- Work in close partnership with the PMO, Innovations Manager, Automation Specialist, and other departmental leaders to ensure process improvements integrate with technology adoption plans.
- Perform return on investment and impact analyses for automation initiatives.
- Compile and deliver regular reports that highlight achieved improvements, cost savings, and productivity enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 to 4 years' experience in business process automation, process improvement, or digital transformation roles.
- Proven track record of achieving measurable business benefits through process optimization or automation, such as cost reduction and cycle time improvements.
- Experience in establishing or supporting automation programs or Centers of Excellence (CoE).
- Strong familiarity with process mapping and BPMN tools like BlueWorks Live or comparable software.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches, is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science with a specialization in business administration.
- Certifications such as ABPMP CBPP, APQC, OMG OCEB 2, or other project management credentials are desirable.
